Snowshoeing!

So I went snowshoeing today for the first time ever, and had the most AMAZING time! I'm so excited.

See, we were originally supposed to take this snow-camping trip, but that got cancelled at the last minute because an avalanche took out the roads. So, Morgan, Sylvan, John and I decided to go up to the mountains and snowshoe instead. And it was WONDERFUL.

We went up to Denny Creek and the Snowqualmie Summit, (where we realized that someone in our group had forgotten his snowshoes...on a SNOWSHOEING trip! Not naming any names...), and played in the snow for quite a bit. If you stand down without shoes, the snow comes up above your waist, it's pretty ridiculous. After that, we went hiking a little further down the pass, towards Denny Creek again, and finished it all off with a trip to Snowqualmie Falls, which is just gorgeous.

I have to admit, there is something about the snow that makes me feel like a little kid. I get all giddy inside. I can't stop smiling when I'm playing in the snow!
Pics to come soon, I hope.
